“The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.”

This proverb is about not getting to enjoy the fruit of one’s own labor. It is about the slothful, one who depends on others diligence to provide things that he wants and likes. It is also the reason why they often do without. In my life I have done a little hunting . I live in what I believe is one of the great hunting areas of the country. With plentiful, wild game, such as deer and turkey, which is considered good to eat by many, I know many hunters who enjoy the process from preparing for the hunt to the actual hunt, and then to preparation and eating what they get. They take great pleasure in each part of the process. I confess hunting for me mainly consists of falling asleep in a beautiful and comfortable spot in the outdoors followed by the tastiest thing, on the menu of one of the great restaurants in our area. Solomon wants us to understand clearly, which many business leaders do, satisfaction comes not only in a job well done, but the reward that comes with that. It is not spiritual pride to appreciate the outcome of using what God has gifted us with for a good result. If we recognize Him as the source of our ability we celebrate with Him His will accomplished. Today be diligent and enjoy the rewards of your efforts. #BeTheEdge
