“Do not accuse anyone for no reason— when they have done you no harm.”
Little people do this. Those people who cannot achieve on their own like to talk down about those who do. Sometimes it happens in business. As a person within an organization or their entire company succeeds a person who doesn’t will at times insinuate negative things they either don’t really know or they make up entirely to try and minimize that success. I have also seen this spiritually. When a person is making a significant impact for God’s kingdom there are those who will, often, out of jealousy or petty slights, take shots at them to try and delegitimizatize their impact. Unlike the business example, which is awful, this actually harms God and His kingdom. The consequences of this behavior is especially bad because it finds its source in Satan himself. Only hell benefits when God’s servants and His work is misrepresented. It is especially egregious when it is by another of His followers. Early in my ministry I followed some people who were guilty of this. It turns out they took shots at theology and ministry they either did not understand or just didn’t fit the way they thought it should be done. Thankfully, their influence of my life did not last very long and I found men who followed the words of Gamileil that if it’s not of God if it will not last, but if it is, you do not want to be fighting against it. Today, walk your walk and allow God to direct his other children. #BeTheEdge
