“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.”

My accountability partner for about 40 years is an Emergency Room Physician. I’m awed by the lives that have been saved by him and his team over the decades. My son is a traveling ER nurse. I have the same thoughts about his career. Then I think of my best friend since we were 15 year old teenagers growing up on the beaches of Florida. I watched him come to Christ. Shortly after, we were helping start a ministry at our high school. We sang Larry Norman (yep that’s old) songs at beach gatherings. He has spent his last 40 years telling teenagers and later their teenage children how to have a life with Jesus for eternity, literally saving hundreds of lives from death. Dr Dell once saved my life in his emergency room and I’m grateful beyond measure for that and his constant watch and companionship on our journey through this life. Rick has also saved my life on occasion although he was the one who led me into the situation that almost cost me it in the first place. Those are other devotions. I have many people in my journey who have planted beautiful trees of righteousness in my life. They continue to water and fertilize them and they are all, to varying degrees, producing delicious fruit and giving life. Thats at the heart of our call. Live a righteous life and the byproduct will be His tree of life in your story and lives saved for others. Today live right. #BeTheEdge #LoveJesusBeKind
