“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” ‬‬

The most successful people I know tend to be very humble. Over time I’ve discovered that most often the humility reflects that they genuinely don’t have time or see any value in prideful behavior. There might even have been a time when a little pride was there but as they pursued their calling it just became unhelpful and even a nuisance. The exception is occasionally with people in the film and tv world and even then it is mostly those in front of the camera rather than those behind it. I’m referring mostly to believers. Sadly the lost tend to be looking for value through affirmation and that leans toward self promotion and pride. As followers of Christ maturity and the wisdom that comes with it informs us that all our gifts and talents as well as opportunities are from God. Properly, we are proud of Him. We enjoy giving Him all the praise and glory. He alone deserves it. Humility helps us look beyond ourselves and that is where we encounter the wisdom of God. Today stay humble. #BeTheEdge
