“If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!”

Now there is a question? We have all heard stories of people overcoming challenges in life—those men and women who face unimaginable obstacles and rise above them, emerging victorious, even if that victory simply means survival. Ever had a bad day? How about Jackie’s? “Jackie was following her dreams of working and living in Egypt when she decided to take a weekend trip to Athens, Greece. Things took a deadly turn on her flight home when the plane she was on was hijacked. Jackie was shot at point-blank range and thrown onto the tarmac to die. Although she lay there for five hours before anyone found her, Jackie said she felt at peace because she believed God was telling her that she was going to be okay.” (Oprah.com) God assures all His followers that no matter how bad your day, week, month, or life seems to be going, if you put it in His hands, it will be okay. Romans 8 reminds us that all things— not just what we would define as good—work together for good. Unlike us, He is not subject to the emotional whims of our daily circumstances. Paul reminds us that even death is a win for believers. To live is Christ, and to die is gain, he says in another place. Today, live with His strength, and times of trouble won’t win. #BeTheEdge
