Yesterday, one of the leaders at The Edge sent me a podcast that suggested reading a proverb a day for two years can change your life. That translates to reading each chapter 24 times, with the exception of chapters 29, 30, and 31, as the months with only 30 days and February fall a bit short. Having read Proverbs daily for at least 15 years, I can attest to the profound impact this book has had on my life. Solomon has been called the wisest man who ever lived, which is technically true, considering that Jesus is also God. Over the centuries there has been people who have built their lives on the teachings of Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War,” which has found various applications in “competitive non-military endeavors such as espionage, culture, politics, business, and sports” (Wiki). Other influential works include those by Shakespeare, Galileo, and Thomas Paine. However, none have affected change in the lives of their readers as much as the Bible. One of its 66 remarkable and supernatural books is Proverbs. The entirety of Scripture is intended to transform us, and Proverbs exemplifies this. Keeping this wisdom at the forefront of our minds during any situation is a powerful gift. Today, read His words. #BeTheEdge

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
