“A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.” Proverbs‬

This verse specifically addresses those in charge during Solomon’s time who were unkind and overbearing. One storyline I hear repeatedly from business people with a history of difficult former bosses is that the worst ones are overbearing, uncaring, and create environments that stifle productivity. As a result, work becomes tedious at best and torturous at worst. They often look back, grateful to have been rescued either by a change in leadership or by securing a position in a new company. Who wants that legacy? Solid business principles teach us that it is entirely possible for a company to be both successful and led by kind, caring leaders. This is not about being a “soft” leader. Some of the most demanding leaders can inspire exceptional results by applying Biblical principles of leadership. This is at the core of The Edge Biblical Worldview companies. In fact, it is the leader who understands the value God places on each person’s life and how that understanding translates into leadership that creates long-term impact and true success. Today lead as Jesus did. #BeTheEdge
