“The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:”

This is the month we prepare to celebrate the remembrance of the Word becoming flesh—the day the Creator visited our planet and brought His kingdom to earth. The great difference between when Solomon’s words were recorded and today is found in that one pivotal moment in all of time, space, and eternity. To be more specific, it actually came to fruition on Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit indwelt Christ’s followers from that day forward. No longer do we rely solely on our ability to read or hear God’s truth and apply it. Starting with God’s promised gift of His Spirit in our lives, we now experience the quickening of His Spirit, speaking into and moving through our hearts and minds. His wisdom is now available at the whispered cry of His children. He freely gives. As we dive into His Word, He brings it alive. The living, active quality of His written Word happens by the power of His Spirit moving through us. At the moment we gave our lives to Him, He moved in and has never and will never leave. As we read through the Proverbs, God’s Spirit will reveal things you never imagined. Let His words change you. #BeTheEdge
