“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
One of my granddaughters and I share corny jokes by text regular. Sometimes when she is boated or having a tough day she will text me asking for a joke or riddle. It cheers her up. Sharing them and receiving them from her cheers me up as well. How about you? What do you do to cheer up others hearts? There are so many ways to do it. Most are not difficult. They just call for awareness and intentionality. As followers of Christ one of the best ways to represent Him as salt and light in this world is to be a source of fun. Yep.. Jesus is a fab of fun. I know life can be hard and the Kingdom is serious but if God’s Kingsom is going to be anything it will be great fun. I have a blast with my friends, especially those who are Christians. In a hard and scary world a little laughter can have a powerful impact on hurting souls. There is certainly plenty that is no laughing matter. We need to take seriously what wreaks havoc on others. But, when the opportunity to enjoy each other comes it should not be ignored. Today look for opportunities to share a smile. #BeTheEdge
