At the beginning of my new ministry, I was encouraged to make sure I had a board member who would always watch my back, no matter what. I looked to my son-in-law. I realized that, no matter what happened, he didn’t want to face my daughter for allowing me to be mistreated. Seriously, people who love us and are faithful friends will always stand firm with you in battle. Thankfully, I have a great group of those people in my life. They start with family, but beyond that, there are men with whom I have done life, walked into battle, and pioneered exciting moments of service for the kingdom of God. I would trust them to lay down their lives for me, and they know I would do the same. Love and faithfulness—those are traits I cherish. It appeared that Jesus was completely abandoned when the rulers came after Him, His disciples fled as they were confused by what was happening. However, His Father was right there with Him, and He knew that at any moment, a host of powerful angels could come to His aid. We all need that, and thankfully, no matter who is or isn’t on your journey, you can be assured that the Holy Trinity has your back. For the truth of that to be a reality in your journey, you need to have entered an eternal relationship with God through Jesus. Today, walk in power and confidence with Him, and be faithful, living that out with others in your story. #BeTheEdge
