The two ways that Satan attacks are through our desires and our eyes. When our focus shifts away from the things of God, we begin to desire the things of the world. As we allow those desires to grow into yearnings, we start seeking ways to fulfill them. An example is the person who begins to desire money, and that desire grows to such an extent that they look for ways to satisfy that hunger, moving beyond natural, Godly avenues to things like stealing or embezzling. No five-year-old ever wanted to grow up to be a criminal. When that 20-year-old version of the child gets arrested for their actions, it is the result of years of feeding an evil desire that most likely began with envy or coveting. Sexual sin often starts with pornography or illicit sexual behavior. All sin begins with evil desires. These desires are often initiated or fueled by what we allow our eyes to focus on—whether through movies, TV, or even online. Today, stay on His path. #BeTheEdge
